The Outer Banks of North Carolina

After Washington DC we headed to North Carolina to spend the week at the beach with my whole family. We had such a great time swimming, playing in the ocean, crabbing and just relaxing!

Washington DC

We were able to take an amazing vacation this year. We went to Washington DC and Virginia. We visited many historical sites and enjoyed all of it! We walked and walked and walked and saw so many interesting things. We learned a lot of history too. We visited a few Smithsonian's, Arlington Cemetery ,WWII memorial, Vietnam memorial, Lincoln Memorial, International Spy Museum, the White House, The Old Post Office, Fredericksburg, Civil War battlefields, Thomas Jefferson's house and lots more! We had a great time!

Caylin took a nasty crash on her bike. She was pretty banged up but was a trooper. Luckily kids bounce back quick!

Peyton turns 8

Peyton turned 8 and we had fun celebrating! We had a party with his friends. They had a good time playing sports, opening presents and eating cake. Then Peyton was baptized and we celebrated with our family and friends. Peyton was so excited and had a great birthday!

Dancing Girls!

The girls were able to participate in the Jr Brave Cadets. They went to the high school and practiced twice and then performed their dance at the Brave Cadet review. They were so excited to be in a dance and loved it! They were so cute to watch. They had to do their makeup before the dance and then we had to go get ice cream to celebrate their performance! It was so fun and they can't wait to dance again!

Over spring break we went to Salt Lake and stayed with grandma and grandpa. We had fun just playing outside and riding bikes. Uncle Rob got us some great seats to the Jazz game so Grandpa, mom, Brayden and Peyton were able to go. It was so much fun! We got dinner before the game, snacks at halftime and great seats! We were spoiled. The boys were in heaven with all the soda they wanted, popcorn, nachos and dessert! We even got to meet the Jazz Bear! It was such a fun night.

April Fools

Justin and I wanted to do something funny to the kids for April Fools day. We came across this idea, draw a mustache on the kids while they are sleeping. It was so fun! The best part was in the morning when they woke up, their reaction was priceless. The girls couldn't figure out what happened. Brayden came in laughing that Peyton had a mustache but didn't think about having one himself. We all got a good laugh! All the day the girls kept trying to do funny things and then they would say Happy Fools Day!

Easter 2013

We had a fun Easter this year. The girls got a new Easter Dress thanks to Aunt Debbie and the boys got a new white shirt thanks to the Easter Bunny! The kids had fun finding eggs and remembering the Savior!

Happy 10th Birthday Brayden

Brayden turn 10 this year! I can't believe how fast time goes. He is getting so big! We celebrated Braydens' birthday all weekend! We took Brayden to Idaho Falls and bought him his birthday present, a .22! He had no idea and was so excited. It was fun to spend the day with him. The next day we had family and friends over for cake and ice cream. It was our friends son's first birthday too so we celebrated together. Then on his actual birthday he had some friends come over. We played games ate doughnuts and then went outside for a snowball fight. We had a great time celebrating!

Brayden Basketball

Brayden did great at basketball this year. He was a go getter. He had fun and it was fun to watch him improve each week!

Basketball Peyton

Peyton had a great time playing basketball this year. It was fun to watch and he played so well.

Granite Hot Springs

Last weekend we went to Granite Hot Springs. Its a awsome trip in the winter time. You snowmobile 10 miles into a natural hot pool. It is lots of fun and the kids love getting in the snow bank and then jumping in the pool. We swam, at lunch and then headed home. Both girls fell asleep as soon as we started home on the snowmobiles. In Snake River Canyon we were able to see some of the sheep that visit this time of year. It was a great day!

Pine Wood Derby

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year! Grandma and Grandpa Harrison were able to come and spend the holidays with us. We had lots of fun!

Santa

Santa came to the Firedepartment Christmas party! The kids were so excited to see him and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. They were so cute and we had lots of fun!

Christmas Tree

We went on our annual tree hunting outing. We found a beautiful tree in record time and we all loved it. The kids are all very excited about Christmas! This may be a long month until Christmas actually gets here!

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we had two vampire bats, Charlie Chaplin and one headless man! They were all very excited for Halloween and we got lots of candy and had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch

Cara, Caylin and I were able to spend the weekend in Salt Lake. While we were there we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins! We had a great time!

Happy Birthday Mom!

I am so lucky! I was able to spend my birthday with some great friends and came home to this! My cake was so cute and tasted really good! I had an awsome birthday!

First Day of School

I am a little late posting this but here are pictures from the first day of school. Everyone was very excited to start school this year! That makes things fun! The girls started a new preschool and they just coudln't wait! Brayden started 4th grade which means a new school. He was so exited and thought he was big stuff. Peyton started 2nd grade and was ready to see all his friends again. So far everyone is still loving school and having a great time!

I can't believe that my babies are 4! Where has the time gone? They are so big and so much fun. They bring so much joy and fun to our house! We had a fun day celebrating their special day! We love you girls!

Family Reunion

Roller Skating

We took the kids roller skating while we were in Utah. I had great memories of how fun it was when I was a kid. Well it's a little different when you are older. The boys picked up on it and the girls tried. We all took a few falls and some of us are still feeling the effects of the fall but overall it was a good experience!
